Ashley County, hand engraved in gold (9ct, 5.5g, 30mm), no maker, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'From/Residents/Ashley County', reverse inscribed 'Pvte.J.Doyle/38136 22nd Reinf./Missing/12-10-17'. Extremely fine.
38126 Rfm. James Doyle, NZRB, KIA, France, 12 October 1917. Together with a printed and hand signed note of condolence to Mr Michael Doyle (brother) from the Ashley County Patriotic Committee.
